The Hadden family began farming in 1769 after two brothers disembarked a ship in Savannah and walked to Gibson, GA.  The Hadden’s have a multigenerational history of cattle farming for over seventy years.  In 2014, John Hadden decided to continue the family tradition of farming, however after learning the benefits of multi species grazing.  John decided to diversify the farm by bringing sheep into the rotational grazing system.

After much research John settled on Katahdin sheep for their hardiness and parasite resistance. The flock started with 70 ewes and has been growing ever since. The goal has been to establish a parasite resistant flock that can raise lambs in a pasture based system to yield high quality meat.
